Diverse Marketing is a family-owned and operated premier wholesale representative group founded in 1959.

They are a group of experienced sales representatives who bring top manufacturers to the top retail partners nationwide. Diverse Marketing has a Specialty Toy, Speciality Gift, and Key Account Division with national coverage. Diverse Marketing has five showrooms: Dallas, which doubles as the Corporate Office, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, and Seattle. These epicenters serve as places for customers to experience and enjoy the products at hand, and decide what will be their next big thing.

The history of Diverse Marketing runs over a century of individuals who deeply care about promoting and helping retailers and vendors succeed, and we still fully stand by that mission.

Who is Diverse Marketing?

Diverse Marketing (then Anderson/Hardin and Associates) was founded in 1959 by Edward Everett Hardin III. Edward grew up in Memphis, TN as the only son of Edward Everett Hardin II and Agnes (Barton) Hardin. He joined the military during the Korean War, and when he left his service, he accepted the first role any Hardin would have in the toy industry! Ed accepted a job as a toy buyer for Stratton Hardware in 1954. He saw the manufacturer rep model taking off in the northeast and southeast, so he moved his family to Dallas, TX, to start a group and a new life. Ed was charismatic and would have fit seamlessly into a Mad Men episode. He loved entertaining and the art of selling! This time was before specialty toys, so he sold them to department stores, hardware stores, and toy stores.

Over the last 65 years, Diverse Marketing has undergone several changes and expansions - they kicked off this decade with an exciting expansion to the southeast of the United States and opened an Atlanta showroom! This expansion brought uncharted territory, but through our dedicated team members, it is now one of our most prolific showrooms and offices. 2014 marked the start of many expansions. First came the Mid-Atlantic region in 2014, followed by the Mountain States in 2015, the West Coast in 2016, and we moved into the Pacific Northwest in 2017. Diverse Marketing officially became national in 2018 with our final expansions into the New England territory.
